Teacher Of Pvt School In Bhubaneswar Suspended For Sending Lewd Photos, Videos To Students

Bhubaneswar: A reputed private school in Odisha capital suspended a teacher for allegedly sending lewd messages to a Class IX girl student.

According to sources, the accused teacher allegedly used to ask the students to text him personally for clearing doubts, post online classes and targeted them. The school conducted online classes due to COVID protocols.

The ninth grader complained that the teacher allegedly sent her obscene videos and photos followed by several texts asking whether she had seen the messages. This continued for three continuous months. The incident affected the student mentally and she was unable to focus on her studies. After continuous prodding, she narrated the whole incident to her parents who took up the matter with the school authorities.

Thereafter, the school authorities formed a team of teachers to look into the matter. All the messages, videos, and photos were collected from students’ mobile as evidence. Several other students corroborated her claim.

Later, the school authorities filed a complaint against the teacher at Nayapalli police station based on which the cops initiate a probe and recorded the victim student’s statement.

Notably, the accused teacher had been teaching maths and physics at the school for over 10 years.
