Teacher On COVID-19 Duty Succumbs In Odisha’s Ganjam

Berhampur: An assistant teacher succumbed to COVID-19 in Tata Covid Hospital, Sitalapalli today.

Block Education Officer (BEO) of Digapahandi, Basant Kumar Panda said the teacher was staying in Phulasundari Sahi of K Samantarapur under Digapahandi block in Ganjam district.

The teacher was working in a quarantine centre on deputation for two months. He tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday last after suffering from fever for a few days.

Odisha Assembly Speaker and Digapahandi MLA Surjya Narayan Patra has condoled the death of the teacher.
