Berhampur: In a tragic incident, a woman of Soundarya Vihar area under Sadar police limits of Ganjam district allegedly ended her life two days after her husband died of COVID-19.
According to reports, Hadibandhu Nahaka (52), an English teacher at Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Nilakantha Nagar area in Berhampur city was admitted to COVID Hospital of MKCG Medical College and hospital after he tested positive on April 25. However, his condition began to deteriorate further and he died on April 30.
Unable to bear the untimely demise, his wife Kavita (45) committed suicide in her house late on Saturday night.
Notably, the couple’s only son had died in a road accident last year.
