Bhubaneswar: Odisha government, on Thursday, recommended the managing committee of Siminai College in Dhenkanal district to suspend History lecturer of the college Mayadhara Sahoo for allegedly boycotting Plus II answer sheet evaluation process.
Earlier in the day, prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC were clamped near the Plus II evaluation centres across the state to prevent breach in law and order by the agitating block grant teachers.
The move came a day after the state higher education department ordered immediate suspension of the absentee examiners who were appointed for Plus II answer paper evaluation.
However, the block grant teachers under the aegis of All Odisha School and College Teachers and Employees’ United Forum have decided to continue strike till their six-point charter of demands is fulfiled.
