Mumbai: England captain Harry Brook won the toss in the T20 World Cup semifinal against Team India and opted to field first at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday.
Interestingly, Suryakumar Yadav aka SKY said he would have opted to bat first, hence losing the toss hardly made any difference for the home team.
India have deci
ded to field the same playing XI that won the must-win virtual quarterfinal against the West Indies four evenings ago at Eden Gardens.
India are looking to become the first team to retain the T20 World Cup, having snatched victory from defeat in the 2024 final against South Africa at Bridgetown, Barbados.
