Teen Artist From Puri Enters Asia Book of Records
Puri: Biswajeet Nayak, a 19-year-old artist from Puri, has made it to the prestigious Asia Book of Records for crafting an idol of Lord Ganesha with 5,575 ice-cream sticks.
The idol of Lord Ganesha is 55 inches high and 33 inches long and is a replica of ‘Nata Ganesha’ at the Puri Jagannath Temple.
Confirming Biswajeet’s feat, the jury of Asia Book of Records wrote, “We appreciate the effort and patience shown by you. Your skills have been acknowledged and as per verification done by the Editorial Board of Asia Book of Records, only the best has been selected and approved by us.”
The jury sent the confirmation on August 31.
Earlier this year, Biswajeet had made it to the India Book of Records for building a chariot of Lord Jagannath using 2,575 ice-cream sticks.
