Temples To Reopen In Odisha’s Koraput On This Date
Koraput: Following the reopening of two prominent temples – Jagannath temple in Puri and Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar – the district administration has decided to reopen places for worship on December 30.
At a meeting chaired by district collector Madhusudan Mishra, it was decided that the devotees will be allowed to enter the religious places including temples to offer puja. The managements of those places have been directed to enforce COVID-19 guidelines like wearing masks and social distancing while allowing the devotees to go inside.
It was also decided that since heavy rush of devotees is likely on December 31, January 1 and 2, such places will remain closed on these dates.
While the district administration has started preparations for the reopening of the religious places, the devotees are eager to have darshan of the deities after nine months.
