Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) allowed tenants and professionals residing in Puri town to visit the shrine from Tuesday.
Earlier, the district administration had fixed December 30 and 31 for the entry of tenants and professionals to the shrine.
However, Temple Administrator (Ritual) Ajay Jena told the media that they can visit the temple from Tuesday itself if they have received the requisite tokens from the municipal authorities.
Jena stated that the tenants provided with blue tokens and professionals with green tokens will be allowed to enter the temple after obtaining written permission from their house owners.
Notably, the Jagannath temple was reopened on December 23 and the administration had allowed only the sevayats and their family members to visit the temple for three days till December 25.
As decided, the residents of Puri town and its periphery areas will be allowed to visit the temple from December 26 to 31, while people from outside the town can visit the temple from January 3.
