Puri: Tension ran high at Puri Sadar Hospital over the murder of a youth on Tuesday night.
According to available information, the youth identified as Sarat Sahu was attacked with sharp weapons by two motorcycle-borne miscreants at Sidi Chhak under Chandanpur police limits here the previous night.
Sahu was returning home after shutting down his welding shop when the incident took place.
He was rescued by locals and rushed to the hospital with critical injuries on his ear and head. However, he succumbed while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Following this, his family members created a ruckus on the hospital premises demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
Locals told police that two bikers had come to Sarat’s shop for welding work two days ago. They had a heated argument with him over payment for the work. The duo might be involved in the attack, they added.
