Berhampur: The Ganjam administration has decided to penalise people, who spit in public places.
Violators will be levied a fine up to Rs 500, the official tweet said.

It is the only district in Odisha to implement such stringent regulation to check the spread of COVID-19.
On March 13 while declaring the pandemic as a ‘state disaster’, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had made a personal appeal to people of Odisha to stop spitting paan.
