This Village In Odisha’s Bargarh Reports 15 New COVID-19 Cases; 3 Healthcare Workers Infected
Bargarh: As many as 18 new corona positive cases have been identified in Bargarh district in the last 24 hours.
Among them, 15 have been reported from Katapali village in Bargarh block, two from Padmapur municipality, and one from Ambabhona block.
The patients have been shifted to COVID Care Centre, informed district public relations officer Kalyani Das.
The rise in the number of corona patients in Katapali, with the village alone accounting for 28 of the total 87 cases in the district, has raised the hackles of the administration.
The village was declared as a containment zone on June 17.
Besides, three healthcare workers at Katapali primary health centre have also tested positive for the virus in the district on Sunday.

The infection has claimed the life of a 76-year-old man of Bargarh district. He passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital on June 21.
