Bhubaneswar: Around 20,000 people turned up to participate in this year’s third Patha Utsav, which marked a grand show of music, dance, yoga and food delicacies of local flavour, in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
In music segment of this edition of Path Utsav, organised on one km stretch of Infocity-Silicon College road, the main attractions were performances by popular singers Archana Padhi, Ruku Sona and Sugyani Mohapatra.
Sambalpuri songs, particularly ‘Rangabati’ number, drew a huge round of applause with the participants dancing to the foot-tapping melodious tune. Similarly, Sizzlers Dance Group was a huge draw as they lived upto their reputation in dance performance.
The children had their share of fun in roller skating, painting and zumba dance shows. The Utsav wore a colourful look with rangaolis created by different artists on the road.
The major attraction was Bhubaneswar Got Talent show. Considering its popularity in the last Utsav, the organisers, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), provided two stages this time.
Another segment that drew the people in good number was the Food Festival. They savoured different types of ‘Pithas’ (local cake) and mouth-watering hot delicacies prepared particularly in the winter.
Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi was the chief guest at the Utsav which was also attended by MLA Babu Singh, Bhubaneswar mayor Sulochana Das and others.
