Three buses torched after two killed in accident

Pipili: An enraged mob set afire three buses on Monday after a couple was crushed to death under the wheels of one of these vehicles near Hata Chhak at Pipili in Puri district.

The accident occurred when the couple riding a motorcycle was trying to overtake one of the buses.

The protest, which lasted for more than 30 minutes, threw traffic out of gear on the busy Puri-Bhubaneswar Road. Extra police personnel were brought in to bring the situation under control, a senior police officer informed.
