Balasore: Three Jharkhand persons were detained by the Sahadevkhunta police in Balasore district with fake currency notes on Wednesday. The three accused persons have been identified as Ibrar Kazi, Hafiz Anwar and Shakil Kazi. Police seized five fake notes from them.
According to sources, they had come from Jharkhand and asked an auto-rickshaw driver to go to Remuna. They gave three Rs 100 notes to the driver. The auto-rickshaw driver suspected that the notes were fake. He informed about it to the locals, following which they handed over the three people to the Sahadevkhunta police. They are being interrogated. “We were collecting chanda at Balaramgadi. Someone has given us fake notes. We do not anything about them,” said one of the detained persons, Hafiz Anwar.
