Cuttack: Cuttack city (CMC area) on Monday recorded 19 positive cases while the recoveries stood at 4 in the last 24 hours.
Of the 19 new cases, 14 are home quarantine and 5 are local contacts, stated a release by the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
There has been a three-time rise in the number of cases over yesterday (March 21) when CMC had reported 6 positive cases of which 2 were home quarantine and 4 local contacts.
However, on Saturday the city reported 21 positive cases.
The double digit figures for a busy city like Cuttack surely raise a concern at a time when there is a coronavirus resurgence scare in Odisha. The state had reported 146 new cases in the last 24 hours.
As per the I&PR report released earlier in the day, Khurda and Cuttack districts accounted for 41 per cent of the new infections.
Khurda recorded the highest of 35 fresh cases followed by Cuttack at 25.
