Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 death toll in Odisha mounted to 21 with three more patients succumbing to the virus on Sunday.
The Health and Family Welfare department in a tweet identified one among them as a 75-year-old man of Ganjam district, who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension. A 65-year-old man of Cuttack district and a 73-year-old man of Bhubaneswar, both of whom were also suffering from diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease, also succumbed, the tweet added.
Ganjam had earlier reported nine COVID-19 deaths, while the virus had claimed three lives in Bhubaneswar and as many infected had died in Cuttack district.
Meanwhile, 264 fresh COVID-19 cases have been detected in the last 24 hours taking the affected tally in Odisha to 6614.
