Rourkela: Sundargarh district has been able to contain the COVID-19 spread, which had spiked in the last one week due to a suspected super spreader, in the past two days.
While eight positive cases were reported till Sunday morning, another five were found infected in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 673 on Monday.
Of the five cases, one person is undergoing treatment at a COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar while three are contacts of a previous positive case. The remaining one is a symptomatic case from Sector-20, Rourkela. He has been shifted to a COVID Hospital, the district administration tweeted.
With one death and 247 recoveries, Sudargarh now has 424 active cases.
