Rourkela: Sundargarh district has been able to contain the COVID-19 spread, which had spiked in the last one week due to a suspected super spreader, in the past two days.

While eight positive cases were reported till S

unday morning, another five were found infected in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 673 on Monday.

Of the five cases, one person is undergoing treatment at a COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar while three are contacts of a previous positive case. The remaining one is a symptomatic case from Sector-20, Rourkela. He has been shifted to a COVID Hospital, the district administration tweeted.

With one death and 247 recoveries, Sudargarh now has 424 active cases.
