Cuttack: Three members of a family sustained grievous injuries after a landslide buried their house at Bishnupur village under Tigiria police limits in Cuttack district late on Thursday.
The victims were identified as Kuna Swain, his wife and their son.
The incident took place when the trio was sleeping inside their house. It had been raining incessantly and this led to the landslide.
Locals rushed to the spot after hearing a loud thud, but failed to rescue the victims trapped inside the debris. Following which, fire services personnel were called in.
The three were then rushed to Tigiria hospital and later shifted to Athagarh sub-division hospital in a critical condition. They were referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital here for better treatment.
