Three Women Maoist Cadre Arrested From Malkangiri

Malkangiri: The Malkangiri district police on Saturday arrested three women Maoists from Kangirghati area. They have been identified as Jogi Kawasi, Idme Mandvi and Jamli Kurami.

Informing about the arrest in a press conference, Malkangiri SP Jagmohan Meena said, “The arrested women Maoists were active in Kangirghati area. Among them, Jogi was the Area Committee Member while the other two were party members.”

The trio was involved in a number of cases, including the recent torching of JCB roller.

While Jogi was carrying a cash reward of Rs 4 lakh on her head, it was Rs 1 lakh each for Idme and Jamli, the SP added.
