Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre here on Saturday forecast thunderstorm and lightning in 15 districts of the state.
The alert has been issued for Maurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack, Puri, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Nayagarh and Jajpur districts between 1.30 pm and 5 pm.
People in these districts have been advised to take shelter in nearby building or other safety locations.
