Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued thunderstorm & lightning warning for as many as six districts of Odisha on Wednesday.
The districts are Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Angul.
People in these districts have been advised to either take shelter at nearby places or stay indoors till 8:15 pm. Besides, Nor’wester rain accompanied by winds reaching speed up to 50 to 60 kmph is expected to lash several places across the state during this period, a bulletin issued by Met department said.
On Tuesday, the weatherman had forecast such weather conditions till May 4.
