Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here has forecast thunderstorms and lightning with moderate rainfall at some places in Odisha till 02:45 pm on Monday.
The districts likely to experience such weather conditions are Kendrapara, Puri, Koraput, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sonepur and Nuapada.

People living in these areas have been advised to stay indoors and take shelter in buildings during lightning as a precautionary measure.
