Sambalpur: The Vigilance Forest Unit of Sambalpur Division along with the forest staff of the division seized timber worth Rs 2.75 lakh from an illegal saw mill in the district on Tuesday.
On a tip-off that the saw mill was running without lience, the joint raid was conducted at Kamli Bazaar near Gopalji Matha, Sambalpur. During the raid, the saw mill was found to be operating without licence.
The mill accessories along with timber worth Rs. 2.75 lakh were seized. A case has been registered under Town Range, Sambalpur Forest Division.
