Titli Death Toll In Odisha Mounts To 77

Bhubaneswar: The death toll in the severe cyclonic storm Titli has gone up to 77 in Odisha.

Informing this to the media on Wednesday, joint relief commissioner (JRC) Pravat Mohapatra said while the state government has the list of 58 people, who were killed in the cyclonic storm, verification is on to ascertain the cause of the death of another 19 people.

Stating that the state government has informed about the damage rendered by the cyclonic storm and the subsequent flood in the state, he said a central team will visit the calamity-hit districts soon.

Mohapatra also said that a four-member team led by the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) left for the Gajapati district on Wednesday to oversee the ongoing relief and restoration works.
