India bounced back from their catastrophic 1-7 drubbing against world No. 1 Australia on Sunday.
Graham Reid’s India coasted to a well-deserved win against a Spanish team that lacked the firepower to trouble the world No. 4 team.
Simranjeet Singh opened India’s account as he deftly deflected a long ball from the sideline by 28-year-old defender Rohidas into the framework.
India forced two penalty corners resulting in a penalty stroke after Rupinderpal’s flick hit the Spanish defender on the goalline. The veteran converted the stroke.
