Bhubaneswar: Traffic at the busy Airport square in the city came to a halt on Monday. The reason: Traffic policemen on duty were helping a vegetable vendor pick up fallen tomatoes from the road.
According to reports, the vendor was ferrying tomatoes on an auto-rickshaw when a few crates fell on the road. The vendor got down to collect them. Moved by his plight, a few passers-by also came forward to help the man.
Seeing this, traffic constables on duty stopped vehicular movement for a few minutes and helped the vendor to collect his tomatoes.
Meanwhile, commuters waited patiently till the fallen tomatoes were collected and the traffic constables gave them the go ahead to move again.
