Hours after Disha Ravi was sent to three-day judicial custody by a Delhi court, Swedish teenager and global climate activist Greta Thunberg expressed her solidarity for her fellow-activist in connection with the toolkit case.
Greta on Friday evening retweeted Fridays for Future (FFF) India’s tweet and wrote: “Freedom of speech and the right to peaceful protest and assembly are non-negotiable human rights. These must be a fundamental part of any democracy.” She posted the tweet with the hashtag #StandWithDishaRavi.

Greta founded Fridays for Future, and Disha volunteers for FFF (India) and helps with the organization’s event management work in Bengaluru.
Greta had tweeted the toolkit on farmers’ protest earlier this month.
Delhi Police has alleged that Disha is the “key conspirator” behind formulation and dissemination of the document.
