Rajasthan means the land of the kings and it is no surprise that the place is bejewelled with a host of forts, many of which are the most impressive hill Forts. In fact, many of these hill forts appear in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Here is a small list of forts of Rajasthan which I have visited in the course of travels in India. The list leaves out many other hugely impressive forts such as Junagarh fort of Bikaner, Bundi Fort, Gagorn Fort in Jhalawar, Ranthombore Fort, Alwar Fort and many more.
