Bhadrak: A woman on Saturday accused her husband, also Bhadrak Jailor, Chinmay Patra of mentally and physically torturing her.
She has lodged a complaint against Patra at Town police station, demanding immediate action against him.
In the complaint, she also alleged that he had threatened to kill her.
Basing on the complaint, police have registered a case under Sections 498 (A), 494, 495, 406, 417 and 506 of the IPC.
“Investigation is on. Patra is in New Delhi to attend a training programme. He will be questioned in connection with the allegation and action will be initiated accordingly,” a police officer informed.
