TPR Drops To 4.17% As Odisha Adds 3087 New Cases To COVID Tally; 4 Dists In Red Zone
Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a further drop in test positivity rate (TPR) on Thursday as 3087 of 74000 samples tested positive for the virus.
The TPR stood at 4.17 per cent against 4.45 per cent the previous day, when 3371 of 75649 samples were found to be infected.
With this, the state now has 31231 active cases. Three districts – Khurda, Cuttack and Balasore – are in RED zone with over 3000 active cases. In TPR, three districts – Mayurbhanj (8.6), Khurda (8.5) and Balasore (7.6) – are in the RED zone.
According to the I & PR department, 1,775 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 1,312 local contacts.
Khurda reported the highest 584 cases followed by Cuttack (462), Balasore (246), Jajpur (205), Puri (189), Mayurbhanj (154), Bhadrak (145) and Nayagarh (110).
