Bhubaneswar: Odisha added 2542 fresh infections to its affected tally in the last 24 hours, taking the active cases to 27,580 on Thursday.
The test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 3.49 per cent with these cases being detected from 72,645 samples sent for test. The state had seen a TPR of 3.49 per cent the previous day and 3.93 per cent and 3.75 per cent on Tuesday and Monday respectively.
According to the I & PR department, 1458 are from quarantine and 1084 local contact cases.
Cuttack district registered the highest 428 fresh infections, followed by Khurda (424) and Balasore (221).

Till Wednesday, no districts in Odisha was in the RED zone in TPR. Cuttack was the lone district in this zone with a positivity rate of 15.1 per cent on Tuesday and it dropped to 6.9 per cent the following day. A total of 24 districts in the state have a TPR of less than 5 per cent. The districts with a TPR above 5 per cent are Jajpur, Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack and Dhenkanal. Khurda had a TPR of 4.8 per cent on Wednesday.
