Cuttack: A day after the Odisha government allowed liquor home delivery, the Cuttack District Foreign Liquor Traders’ Association on Sunday demanded over-the-counter sale of alcohol.
Talking to the media here, secretary of the Association Biranchi Narayan Sahu said both the options should be made available to them.
“As the state government has fixed the monthly Minimum Guarantee Quota (MGQ) on the volume of liquor, the traders will be able to meet the quota only through offline sale of liquor. If the government does not allow the offline sale, the traders will not open their shops,” Sahu added.
