Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Tuesday issued traffic advisory for smooth conduct of state-level Independence Day parade at Mahatma Gandhi Marg here on Wednesday.
According to a notification, no heavy vehicle would be allowed to ply towards Master Canteen Square either from Ram Mandir or Raj Mahal from 6:30 am till the parade gets over.
Two-wheelers will be allowed from Raj Mahal towards Ram Mandir crossing up to Master Canteen Square.
However, no vehicles would ply from PMG Square to Mahatma Gandhi Marg till the parade is over. It is the same on the Rabindra Mandap-Housing Board stretch. The vehicles would be diverted at Keshari Talkies crossing towards the lane on the left.
Similarly, vehicle heading for PMG Square from AG Square side would be diverted towards IDCOL Auditorium from Jaydev Bhawan crossing.
Besides, those plying from 120 Infantry Battalion crossing would be diverted towards Unit-4 at MLA Colony crossing. All the lanes touching Mahatma Gandhi Marg will be sealed and only pedestrians will be allowed on the stretch.
