Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory for Cuttack city in view of the India-South Africa T20 match at Barabati Stadium on December 9.
The restrictions began at 8 this morning and will continue till the end of the match or crowd dispersal to ensure security for players and officials and smooth traffic flow on all routes leading to the stadium. Movement of heavy vehicles is strictly prohibited on Mahanadi and Kathajodi Ring Roads as well as inside the city limits from 8 am to 2 am.
Key Route Management
>> Spectators coming from Mata Matha side will park their vehicles at lower Bali Jatra ground and pass holders will take a left turn at the bamboo depot and park the vehicles at upper Bali Jatra ground.
>> Vehicles coming from Howrah Motor Chhak and Mani Sahoo Chhak will not be allowed towards Madhusudan Statue from Grinnar Hotel Chhak. They will use the Mahanadi Ring Road via Old Law Hostel-Gada and park at Lower Bali Jatra Ground.
>> Apart from pass-holder vehicles, no other vehicles will be allowed towards Barabati Stadium from Biju Patnaik Chhak or Chandi Chhak. The visitors can proceed via Cantonment police station and park their vehicles at the lower Bali Jatra ground, said the police.
>> No vehicles will be allowed towards Bali Jatra Ground via Killa Fort from Ananda Bhawan Chhak. They will proceed via Cantonment PS Chhak and park at Lower Bali Jatra Ground.
>> Vehicles coming from Reserve Police Line will not be allowed to enter Barabati Stadium through Odisha Police Association (OPA) Chhak.
>> Apart from pass-holder vehicles, no vehicles will be allowed to move towards Barabati Stadium from Madhusudan Statue Chhak, and from Lions Eye Hospital Chhak via Kilkhana Road. The visitors will have to take the Ring Road and park their vehicles at lower Balijatra ground.

– Horse Gate (triangular space): TV crew/pass holders
– OCA Club & Xavier’s School Parking: VIPs/dignitaries (pass holders)
These restrictions will not apply to emergency vehicles (fire, ambulance, police, and essential goods vehicles).
