Mumbai: Even as the internet grieved the death of remarkable actor Shushant Singh Rajput, certain netizens have started circulating pictures, claiming them it to be that of his death. This unethical way of expressing sadness over social media has unsettled many of the actor’s colleagues and friends, who have condoned such behaviour.
Filmmaker Farah Khan took to twitter and called out the fallacy saying, “My friend #SushantSinghRajput has died tragically at a very young age!! STOP Circulating pictures of his death! This is a tragedy NOT entertainment!! Is this the world we live in now??!”
Similarly, journalist Raj Baddhan condemned the pictures being shared on Whatsapp which dishonour the death of the actor. He wrote, “Am shocked at receiving images of #SushantSinghRajput ‘s lifeless body in his room. How insensitive can one be?
“This is mentioned every time when someone passes away – extra responsibility is required when investigating -Who takes these pics & how do they get leaked to the public?” he further added.
Political satirist Akash Banerjee also criticised the graphic images making rounds on the internet saying, “You think #NewsChannels are the worst??? Wait till you see graphic images of #SushantSinghRajput’s body being frantically circulated on #WhatsApp groups now. Let us admit to our voyeuristic selves too.”
The sudden departure of Sushant Singh Rajput has put the entire country under a blanket of sadness and such acts of indecency has angered the larger population.
