Puri: Train services from Puri resumed on Thursday after remaining suspended for six months due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Three inter-state trains, Puri-New Delhi Special, Puri-Ahmedabad Special, Puri-Durg Special, left the station on the day. Four more trains will also start operation from the Pilgrim Town.
The train services from the town resumed after the state government recommended to the East Coast Railway (ECoR) a few days back to withdraw all restrictions on movement and stoppages of trains under its jurisdiction.
The movement of trains from Puri have been suspended since March 24 due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown.
