Transgender Leader Meera Parida Joins BJD

Bhubaneswar: Social activist and chairman of All Odisha Third Gender Welfare Trust Meera Parida formally joined the BJD on Sunday.

She arrived at the Naveen Niwas with her supporters and formally joined the ruling party in the presence of the party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Talking to mediapersons, Meera said she has informed the Chief Minister about her willingness to contest from Begunia constituency in Khurda district.
