Bhubaneswar: A popular and passionate biker and travel vlogger Sandeep Kumar Das was found dead on the railway tracks in Palaspalli area of Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
As per preliminary information, his mutilated body was spotted by locals in Palaspalli area near the Lingaraj railway station in the morning. While the body was lying on the railway tracks close to Punama Gate crossing, his motorcycle was found abandoned near the site.
Locals said that Das was heard speaking loudly on his mobile phone shortly before the incident. It appeared that he was engaged in a heated conversation with someone.
After getting information, police personnel visited the scene, recovered the body, and also seized the motorcycle. The body was sent for post-mortem examination.
The mobile phone call records of Das were being examined as part of the probe to ascertain who he spoke with before the incident.
While preliminary findings indicate suicide, police said they are probing the case from all possible angles, including family disputes and personal relationships. A scientific team has also been called to the spot for further examination.
A known bike enthusiast and travel vlogger, Das had a considerable following on social media platforms. His sudden death has left his followers and acquaintances in shock.
