Tremors Felt In Delhi-NCR As 5.8-Magnitude Jolts Pakistan; Check Reactions
New Delhi: Mild tremors were felt in parts of Delhi-NCR as an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter Scale hit Pakistan on Wednesday afternoon.
The earthquake struck at around 12.58 pm at a depth of 33 km, according to National Center of Seismology. The German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said that the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles).
Netizens claimed that they felt tremors in Peshawar, Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan, and New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir in India. Many took to X to share their experiences, while hoping for the safety of others.
