New Delhi: A television anchor with a news channel committed suicide in North East Delhi’s Welcome area on Friday, reported National Herald.
Ironically, 24-year-old Priya Juneja (24), had recently interviewed singer Kailash Kher and about how a person can remain positive during COVID-19 in a TV show. She hanged herself from a ceiling fan of her house, reported National Herald quoting IANS.
“According to the preliminary investigation, she was under depression. The immediate reason for the extreme step is not known yet. The body has been sent for postmortem,” a senior police officer was quoted as saying in the newspaper.
Juneja was staying with her parents, two sisters, and a brother in the Welcome area. The family informed the police about the incident at around 7 a.m. when she did not open the door of her room. She did not leave any suicide note, the report said.
