New Delhi: Twitter went blank for thousands of users on Sunday evening.
Twitter users faced problems in accessing the micro-blogging website, with Downdetector reporting about 3,000 Twitter outages in India around 7.30 pm.
According to the outage monitoring website, 64 per cent users reported problems with the Twitter mobile app and 34 per cent faced issues with the website.
The timelines of users didn’t refresh for some, while many accounts were shown as non-existent.
Some users commented on social media that the Twitter app was down only on Andriod handsets, while others claimed Twitter was not working for Jio users.
There has been no statement yet from the social media company on the suspected outage.
The reported outage took place a day before the relaunch of Twitter Blue on December 12, at a higher price for Apple users.
The revamped service will allow subscribers to edit tweets, upload 1080p videos and get a blue tick after verification.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk shared a cryptic tweet earlier on Sunday, saying: “The bots are in for a surprise tomorrow”.
