Two Detained For Sword Attack On Youth Over ‘Past Enmity’ In Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Police on Tuesday detained two persons in connection with the near-fatal attack on a social worker in Palaspalli area under Airport police limits in Odisha capital the previous evening.
“Two persons were apprehended following raids last night. We have evidence against the person directly involved in the incident and could ascertain involvement others through him. Their identity have also be established. Raids are continuing. They will soon be arrested,” Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra told reporters.
The DCP attributed the incident to past enmity. “The victim and the accused had an argument a few days back,” he said.
The injured youth is out of danger, he added.
On Monday, three motorcycle-borne miscreants attacked Siba Srichandan, who was on a two-wheeler, with sharp weapons. He sustained serious injuries in the attack and was AIIMS-Bhubaneswar by Airport police.
