Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha rose to 187 on Saturday with 10 more patients succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours.
Of the 10, nine had comorbidity, the Health Department informed.
The details of the deceased are:
- A 54-year-old male from Ganjam district. He was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
- A 62-year-old male from Bhubaneswar.
- A 70-year-old male from Bhubaneswar. He was also suffering from uncontrolled diabetes.
- A 44-year-old male from Ganjam district. He was also suffering from diabetes.
- A 56-year-old male from Sundargarh district. He was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension and coronary artery disease.
- A 63-year-old male from Ganjam district. He was also suffering from hypertension.
- A 56-year-old female from Ganjam district. He was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension and hypothyroidism.
- A 70-year-old male from Ganjam district. He was also suffering from hypertension.
- A 40-year-old male from Khurda district. He was also suffering from uncontrolled diabetes.
- A 49-year-old male from Gajapati district. He was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
With the 10 new deaths, the virus has so far claimed 224 lives in Khurda, followed by Ganjam (99), Cuttack (11), Gajapati (11), Sundargarh (9), Rayagada (7), Puri (3), Nayagarh (3). Balasore (3), Kandhamal (2), Kendrapada (2), Malkangiri (2), Bhadrak (2), Jagatsinghpur (2), Angul (2), Bargarh (1), Jajpur (1), Jhasuguda (1) and Sambalpur (1).
