New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Wednesday conferred the CBSE Teachers Award 2020 on 38 schoolteachers.
The recipients, who were awarded for their valuable contribution towards improving school education, innovation and dedication, include two from Odisha.
They are Principal of Delhi Public School, Paradip Refinery Township, Dhananjoy Pan and Swapna Rani Panigrahi, a teacher of DAV Public School, Sadanand Vihar in Ganjam district.
Pan received the award for his teaching philosophy based on an inclusive environment while Panigrahi won it for her innovative practices and pedagogies encouraging project-based learning, base method and jatra.
The award consists of a merit certificate, a shawl and Rs 50,000.
