Sundargarh: Sundargarh district has reported 17 new cases of COVID-19, Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan informed on Thursday.

Among the 17 new cases, 15 had returned to Odisha from outside and were put up in temporary medical camps (TMC).
The other two cases were from Rourkela. They were admitted in the isolation ward of Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH).
Seventeen cases reported today. 15 of them returned from outside state and in TMCs. The rest two cases are from Rourkela, and were at RGH Isolation ward. All of the new patients were now shifted to the COVID hospital in Rourkela. Contact tracing for the two cases from Rourkela are continuing.
With 160 recoveries, Sundargarh district now has 57 active cases.
