Two Jail Staffers Among 73 New COVID-19 Cases In Odisha’s Kandhamal

Kandhamal: The COVID-19 tally in Kandhamal district rose to 438 on Monday with overnight addition of 73 new cases.

Among them, Baliguda block reported the highest of 24 cases followed by Phulbani (14), Daringbadi (10), G Udayagiri (6), Tikabali (5), Kotagad (5), Tumudibandh (5) and Raikia (4).

Among the new positive cases, two are jail staffers. They were admitted to the COVID hospital. One new patient had a travel history to Ganjam district. Three cases were reported from buffer zones and the maximum of them are from the containment zone.

With one death and 228 recoveries, Kandhamal district has 209 active cases at present.
