Kendrapada: Two journalists were arrested in Odisha’s Kendrapada district on Sunday in connection with the death by suicide of a 50-year-old man, whom they allegedly falsely implicated in a false rape case.
The deceased in his suicide note had blamed the two journalists and a 31-year-old woman, who is still at large for his death. The duo was nabbed on the basis of a complaint filed by the wife of the deceased, who was found hanging from a tree in a village under Patkura police limits on Thursday.
The woman, prompted by the accused duo, had lodged a rape case against him.
The two – journalists of a private television channel and a YouTube channel – were sent to judicial custody after a local court rejected their bail application. A hunt is on to nab the woman, the PTI reported.
