Berhampur: At least two persons lost their loves and 20 others were injured when the tractor they were travelling in overturned on Sunday in Patrapur block of Odisha’s Ganjam district.
According to sources, the incident occurred near Panchamba village in Patrapur block under Jarada police limits. Two persons died on the spot. Of the 20 injured, condition of four is stated to be critical. They have been admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.
The accident occurred when a group of villagers were returning home with their quota of PDS rice from the nearby ration store.
Overloading of the tractor reportedly led to the accident.
