Jajpur/Dhenkanal: Two persons were killed and another sustained critical injuries in separate lightning strikes in Jajpur and Dhenkanal districts on Sunday.
According to available information, a person died at Bhuban village under Dharmashala block in Jajpur district after being struck by lightning.

A similar incident was reported from Kuninda village under Kamakashyanagar block in Dhennkanal, where a person died and another suffered injuries in lightning strike. The injured person was rescued by some villagers and admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
The Met office had issued thurnderstorm and lightning warning for these districts earlier in the day.
