Two labourers killed in stone quarry blast at Malkangiri

Malkangiri: In a tragic incident, two labourers were killed in an explosion at a stone quarry in Malkangiri district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Babula Hantala (55) and Ramachandra Samarth (22).

Another labourer identified as Jaga Musaki, who sustained critical injuries in the explosion, was rushed to the district headquarters hospital for treatment. His condition is stated to be stable.

According to available information, the explosion took place when battery was being connected for dynamite blast at the stone quarry.
